Back To School, Dressage Lessons, and Warmer Weather

Hey everyone, I hope that all is good, wherever you may be...

Monday-boom. It was back to school for me. I dragged myself out of bed, got ready, and went to school like everybody else. But as soon as I got there, I realized just how much I had missed my friends, the routine, etc. :)

Tomorrow I have two dressage lessons, one on Red, one on Reggie. It is most likely going to be quite interesting, so don't stray to far.

The weather has warmed up here noticeably, though it is now 14 degrees. Ack. (Warning: bad pun ahead) Not cool (don't say I didn't warn you).

Anyways, I apologize for such a short post, I promise that I am going to try and start posting longer posts. It was on my new year's resolutions list, and I am trying really hard to keep those resolutions goals.

Thanks for reading.

Piano Videos, Snow Storms, and Heartland

Hello everyone. I hope all of my lovely blog readers in the Midwest are doing okay after the snowstorm this week, hopefully nobody went without power for to long, or better yet-didn't lose power at all.

My lights were flickering for a few hours, but that's all. We got snowed in, and couldn't go anywhere. Our heater broke, and we were without heat for a few hours. Other than that, everything was perfectly fine. :)

Some of my time has been occupied by a new video. A little something along the lines of a piano rhapsody, to be exact. I will be posting the link to that video as soon as I get it up, that way you guys can all see what I do when I tell you about my piano playing.

Since I've been on break, and they canceled all days of school this week, I have had the delightful opportunity to FINALLY catch up on my favorite TV show, Heartland. I love this show to death, I'm not even joking. I love what they do, and everything about it is just perfect. I watched all the episodes of that on Netflix, and now I am honestly a little upset that I can't watch anymore for a while... Oh well, I'll survive.

That's all for today guys, stay warm.

Christmas, Fitness, and New Year's Resolutions

Hello everyone! I hope that you all had a great Christmas, and got everything you wanted.

Christmas for me was great. The highlights were a headstall, a kindle, a reading pillow, some hiking boots, and a bunch of horse books. Including William Fox-Pitts autobiography, which is pretty amazing (I am reading it now).

I have been working on my fitness lately, especially as Christmas feasts approach. My family is celebrating on Sunday, so that is why I haven't had my share of a feast yet... :)

I have quite a few new year's resolutions to live up to for 2014. Maintaining a better routine, practicing more piano, studying more, becoming a better rider, etc. It's going to be a busy year for me!

Well, that's all for today folks. Goodnight.

Christmas break, Riding, and more Christmas

Hey everyone. I hope you are all doing well.

Today marks the beginning of my Christmas break. Finals week is finally over, and I am eager to catch up on some sleep, cleaning, blogging, reading, writing, and horseback riding (mostly sleep though). I do plan to study and workout throughout break, though, so I'll be busy most of the time.

Horseback riding is going well. I rode Apollo and another arab Wednesday. I am really, really proud of Apollo's accomplishments on that one ride alone. I rode him at a walk to the end of the driveway and back, and even walked through a huge puddle of water. Not to mention, the entire driveway was covered in snow and ice, and he was absolutely fantastic. He is going to be an amazing horse.

I have yet to do any Christmas shopping. In fact-I don't plan on doing any. I am a sucker for homemade gifts because 1.) I am cheap and trying to save money as it is and 2.) I enjoy making them, and I think that they mean a lot more if they don't come in plastic.

That's all for today folks. I have a piano lesson tomorrow, so I need to get to sleep now.

Finals, The Carolina's, and Snow Rides

Hey everyone. Meghan here.

It's that time of the year again... Finals. Yup, it's finals week for me (and I think a lot of other people).  Ugh. Since this is my first final ever (I was homeschooled before public school and this is my first year), I am absolutely freaking out. I have been studying for at least 3-4 hours a day, mainly in history, math, and science. I really hope I get a good score. In fact-it's not even an option in this household.

I have decided that I want to move to North or South Carolina when I am older, after I finish Medical School. I have always envied people who live there, and I love the weather in North Carolina. So I'll probably move to North Carolina, trusting that nothing stops me.

Yesterday, I had the first snow ride of the winter. I love riding in the snow, and there is nothing quite like walking in a fresh pasture of snow. *happy sigh* Oh, winter, how I love you so. :)

That's all for today, folks.

Babysitting, Medical School, and Bunnies

Hello everyone.

Today I had to babysit my younger siblings, while my parents went Christmas shopping. I absolutely love having the house to myself, or at least semi to myself. So I thought I would get some things done today... Haha, that's a funny joke Meghan. I've been blogging almost all day. Yeah, I'm unproductive (at least I did my homework and some surveys to earn money)...

As some of you may know, my dream in life is to attend medical school, and become a doctor of some sort. Right now, I want to be an ER physician. I have been studying my butt off to get good grades, but the real party starts next year, when I'm in high school. Anyways, thought I would throw that out there because I love talking about my future.

Bunnies; you gotta love them. In fact, I'm holding one right now. Her name is Paris, and she is a 5 month old lion head. She is black, brown, and white, and is overall a drop dead gorgeous bun. I wish I could show her, but lion heads are not a recognized breed, so I probably can't. I really want to get involved in 4-h next year, with possibly horses and calves, and maybe my bun. If I can't do horses and/or calves, then I will try to show my bunny.

That's all for today, folks.
